In May 2009 the Nevada Assembly passed Assembly Bill 149 (AB149) to address the Foreclosure Crisis in the State Of Nevada.  This bill allows a home owner the opportunity to elect to go to mediation prior to their property going to foreclosure.  The property must be owner occupied, their primary residence, located in Nevada, and must have received a Foreclosure Notice or Notice of Default after July, 1, 2009.
