After you wakened up so early to see the beautiful balloons ascend from San Rafael park in Reno you can continue the party at the seventh annual Balloons and Tunes Wine Walk in downtown on Sept. 12 from 2pm-5pm. The Balloon Race, Peppermill Hotel & Casino and the Riverwalk merchants Association have joined forces to welcome the Balloon Race pilots, crews, sponsors, locals and tourists to downtown Reno. All are invited to the event along our beautiful Truckee River, with live music, local art and wine tasting.

Race pilots will be set up throughout the Riverwalk with their hot air balloon baskets ready to talk about the sport of ballooning and their own personal experiences.

Yours truly had a personal balloon experience in Stockholm, Sweden when the balloon I was riding in lost air and landed in someone's beautiful garden. No-one was hurt but the home owner was'nt too excited about it!

The cost of the wine walk is $20, which includes a commemorative wine tasting glass and a chance to win raffle prizes.
